So, I’m incredibly excited to see that tModLoader is being released alongside the Terraria Journey’s End update as DLC. It’s one of the things that keeps Divinity: Original Sin 2 at the top of my Steam list. The only thing that improves modding is when a game, and therefore the team behind it, embraces modding completely. On top of that, modding allows a game to live on well beyond its standard lifespan, which is much better for people who can’t afford to buy games regularly and also helps to keep communities going for far longer. Modding gives players a chance to try their hand at game design by tweaking things instead of building them from the ground up, which has led to some absolutely classic games too. I think they’re excellent and they are part of what makes gaming so incredibly wonderful. I’m very much in the camp that supports mods.
